Brett Chan is off to work in South Africa for the new series “Warrior”. Warrior is based on a script by Bruce Lee who had spent many years working on Warrior, but it was never published or produced. Years after the Enter The Dragon actor’s sudden 1973 death at age 32, his daughter found a large collection of handwritten notes that Bruce wrote himself on the concept for the series that became the inspiration for the show. The series will see Justin Lin as executive produce, Shannon Lee (Bruce Lee’s daughter) as executive producer and Johnathan Tropper as show runner.

Warrior is described as a gritty, action-packed crime drama set during the brutal Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the second half of the 19th century. The series follows Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy who immigrates from China to San Francisco under mysterious circumstances, and becomes a hatchet man for one of Chinatown’s most powerful tongs (Chinese organized crime family).

Congratulations go out to Brett Chan and Andrew Chin who the Best Stunt Award at the UBCP/ACTRA Awards for the film DARC. You can check the stunt here at 1:30. It’s the stunt with the car door hitting a guy and then the car slides into a 90 to hit another guy. Great stuff.

While the plot of this 2018 film is being held under wraps we are pleased to say that Hitz International’s Brett Chan will be working as Canadian Stunt Coordinator on “Skyscraper”. Brett will be working with the likes of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Neve Campbell on what has been described as a hostage-action thriller set in China. Also, Brett finds himself as Stunt Coordinator on “Gutenberg”. Seems like there’s no slowing Brett down as we head to 2018.

The first teasers for the show promise plenty of action and adventure that stays true to the spirit of the original comic, whose character was very inspired by the martial arts movie boom of the early 1970s. With action director Brett Chan and his Hitz International team working on the show’s fight and stunt action we can expect some very impressive action. Brett and his team have been responsible for the fights on both seasons of Marco Polo, and Outcast with Nicholas Cage, and know how to deliver a very cool mix of Eastern and Western flavoured action.
